    The Fighting 69th Irish Whiskey

    The Fighting 69th Irish Whiskey

    $ 37.99
    The storied ‘Irish Brigade’ regiment, one of the oldest and most honored military units in the history of the United States, is proud to present its first Irish whiskey to America.  Founded in 1849 as a New York state Irish militia, the 69th has fought as a U.S. Army infantry regiment in major engagements from the civil war to modern-day Iraq and Afghanistan. Its armory is located in New York City.

    Using only the finest quality grains, the mash bill consists of the finest barley and malted barley. The whiskey is triple-distilled in handmade copper pot stills, uniquely designed for maximum vapor and copper interaction.  Then it is matured in ex-bourbon casks for a minimum of 3 years, then secondarily finished in a variety of other casks, including Single-Char casks, Double-Char casks, Oloroso Sherry casks, Rum casks, and Port casks in Ireland.

    This uniquely finished blend results in a new whiskey that is both nuanced and complex, yet easy drinking and approachable. A fitting tribute to this legendary regiment.

    Awarded 94 Points & a Gold Medal by the NY International Spirits Comp, 2020.

    Authentically Irish, uniquely American.
