Coppers Sugarwood Gin
Coppers Sugarwood Gin
Light, Fresh And Easy-Going
Tea Leaf Aromas With Notes Of Warm Honeyed Pine
Beautiful Citrus Offset Balanced By A Touch Of Pure Vermont Maple
A fun-loving gin distilled with locally grown junipers, green tea and orange peel, for a warm finish with a touch of pure Vermont maple.
Handcrafted & Small Batch
We are returning to our distilling roots with this gin release. Coppers Sugarwood Gin is distilled with locally-grown juniper berries, orange peel and green tea and a touch of Vermont's famous maple, collected from trees tapped in the maple-sugaring communities surrounding our distillery.
Distiller’s Note
The sugar maple is often called sugarwood, and Vermont’s earliest inhabitants still inspire us with stories of the sweet water which would flow freely, especially in Spring. Our Copper Sugarwood Gin is an original Vermont expression of our heritage and commitment to the land. This classic is distilled with locally-grown juniper berries, orange peel and green tea. A light touch of pure Vermont gold maple, collected from the local maple-sugaring farms in our community, balances out the flavors with a honeyed pine and sweet maple finish. Alc. 45% by Vol. (90 Proof)
Tasting Notes
Inviting, complex notes of earl gray aromas. Orange and woody juniper pop with a touch of maple sweetness, balanced by citrus.
Crystal clear color. Inviting and complex notes of earl gray aromas, orange and juniper on the nose. Orange peel and woody juniper pop on the palate with a touch of maple sweetness up front. Full, silky, and semisweet body that balances citrus-like acidity against the sweet maple finish. Warm aftertaste with honeyed pine and maple.
A fun-loving gin, perfect for barbeques, and aprés-hikes, bikes & paddles.
Drink Concepts
Drink neat or in classic gin cocktails... with a twist.
Coppers Sugarwood Gin is slightly sweeter than traditional spirits. You won't need to add extra sugars and sweeteners. A versatile gin that does well in gin and tonic, as much as in a classic French 75, with champagne and lemon. Best used with high quality mixers and fresh berries and other fruits.
Signature Cocktail: Coppers Sugarwood Negroni
Mixologist's Favorite: Coppers French 75
Something To Make At Home: Sugarwood Trees Knees

Reviews
Earl gray aromas lead into nuances of fresh cut grass. A touch of maple sweetness up front followed by woody juniper and orange peel. The finish is warm with a honeyed pine and a touch of cinnamon.

Brilliant, crystal clear.
Aromatics- The nose is very inviting and complex with beautiful scents of orange and juniper with flanking notes of earthy angelica root and citrus.
Flavor- The palate concurs with the nose while delivering a rich and slightly sweet, maple spirit core dosed with juniper, orange, and green tea.
Intensity & Texture- Full-bodied with a silky and semisweet core spiked with fresh botanicals while being perfectly balanced with a bright dose of citrus-like acidity

Nothing compares to their Coppers Sugarwood Gin
On our 3 week fall foliage vacation, we stopped to see what this shop had to offer, little did we know that to this day we’ve been on a hunt to find a Gin that compares to the gin we had there! Smooth with a wonderful juniper flavor! So delicious! Like the guy that was helping us said, you’ll feel like you’ve been slapped in the face by a pine branch, lol, something like that! We were with another couple and we couldn’t get enough of this. Had a cocktail or two each night until we ran out and could no longer find where they sold it. Once back home in California ,my husband tried every way he could think of to get a distributor to get it for us, that’s the only way, because the shop can’t ship it out.
The good news is, my daughter got married and now lives 2 hrs from there. We’re stuffing our suitcases full next time we visit!
