Mas Pere Cava Brut Rose

Vineyard located in the Penedès known as the best area within the cava D.O.
GRAPE VARIETY
100% Trepat, indigenous grape variety particularly well suited for pink sparkling wines due to its refreshing acidity and raspberry flavors.
VINEYARD & TERROIR
Located in Conca de Barbera, in Catalunya, the grapes grow in poor, deep, well drained calcareous soils around 250m above sea level. The vineyards are south facing.
WINEMAKING
The cava grapes are picked by hand when they reach perfect ripeness. Then, the free run juice and skins macerate (bleeding method), for 12-18 hours. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled vats. There is a second fermentation in bottles respecting the méthode traditionelle champenoise. It is then aged 15 months on its lees in the underground cellars.
TASTING NOTE
This Cava Rosado has a lovely bright pink tone with orange hues. On the nose it has pronounced red fruit and floral notes. On the palate its freshness gives way to the soft and elegant taste of red fruit.
