W.B. Saffell Bourbon Whiskey
Part of the new line of whiskeys from Campari, this bottling is named to honor of William Butler Saffell, one of the super-successful whiskey barons of the pre-prohibition era. It is a blend of bourbons aged between 6 and 12 years, and celebrates the classic flavor profile of the area around Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. It is aged in barrels that received a no. 4 char, the heaviest level, which means more charcoal was present to filter out impurities and to help the spirit mellow. The palate is full of caramel, vanilla, dried fruit and wood spice.
