    Kyrö Peat Smoke Whisky 700ml

    Kyrö Peat Smoke combines the Finnish terrain with our Rye Whisky using 100 % Finnish Malted Rye that is smoked using Finnish freshwater Peat. Vatted together using mainly Kyrö Peat Smoke New American Oak, Ex-Bourbon barrels and additionally some Kyrö Malt Ex-Bourbon barrels. The exact proportions vary batch by batch.

    The peat smoke is introduced to our rye malt (and later to the whisky) using the same smoking barn -Riihi, as our Wood Smoke Whisky where instead of alder wood peat is used as the source of the smoke to induce a smoky flavour to our dried malted rye during the 24 hours smoking period. This results in a distinctive mossy peaty flavour to the malt which is carried over to the spirit in our distillation process.

    Although the malt is dry smoked (smoking occurs after the drying of the malt and not during the kilning process) the peaty flavours survive our process because we are using all grains in the process, meaning all the solid particles and the outer layer of the rye which has the most of the smoke influence goes all the way to the first distillation where all the volatile smoky nuances are captured to our low wines.

    Shipping

    We ship via a common carrier such as Fedex or UPS Ground to all states in the continental US (with some exceptions, below). An adult over the age of 21 with a valid ID must be present to receive the package, per alcohol laws. Packages cannot be left on stoops or doorways. Shipping takes 3-5 business days to most states.

    This item cannot ship to Alabama, Arkansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont.

    Returns Policy

    We can only accept the return of defective or damaged goods with proof of the defect or damage. In such instances we will offer a replacement of the same item (subject to availability), refund the credit card used to purchase the item, or issue a store credit for the amount that was paid for the item. We cannot accept returns of items that have been opened already.

    Shipping and handling costs are non-refundable.
