Tommyrotter Cask Strength Bourbon-Barrel Gin

The distillery was co-founded by Bobby Finan and Sean Insalaco and opened its doors in July of 2015.  We selected a name that can be traced to our city – Buffalo – and can also support artisan and craft equities.   The Tommyrotters’ Club was a band of rebellious artisans in the early 20th century who broke rank from the Arts and Crafts Movement to create for creation’s sake. They sought adventure, mischief and inspiration in nature. Honoring their industrious spirit of back, hand and heart, Tommyrotter Distillery crafts small batch spirits using American grains. We are located in Buffalo, New York’s historic Hydraulics manufacturing district.

Our golden child.  We release our CSBBG just twice a year and it’s a truly beautiful thing.  The gin is our American Gin aged in brand new white American oak char #3 barrels for 6 months.  We refuse to chill filter so all of the proteins and esters that pack this gin with flavor remain intact.  Drinkers will enjoy an aroma of baked pear, honey and nutmeg.  Mid-palate, a medley of apricot, clove spice and citrus peel.  It finishes out with warm vanilla spice, toasted ginger and peppercorn.  At 122 proof, it’s an aggressive spirit that allows the drinker to choose his or her preferred dilution.  This spirit is for real liquor enthusiasts only.

On the rocks or in a Negroni, Manhattan or Old Fashioned.
